Comparison of horizontal and vertical installation methods and installation positions of Rexroth hydraulic pumps

Rexroth hydraulic oil pumps with a flow rate of 160L/min and above are not recommended to be installed on the oil tank. Rexroth hydraulic oil pumps below 160L/min can be installed on the oil tank, but ensure that the oil tank cover has sufficient rigidity. The precision (concentricity, verticality) of the Rexroth hydraulic oil pump installed with the output shaft of the prime mover is 0.05mm. Before commissioning, the Rexroth hydraulic oil pump must be filled with oil and kept full during operation. In order to reduce noise and improve the reliability of the hydraulic system, it is recommended that all Rexroth hydraulic oil pumps should be installed as low as possible in the oil tank. Rexroth hydraulic oil pump filter screen is not allowed to be installed in the oil inlet pipeline. It is recommended that the system use the oil outlet or system oil return pipeline to filter.  

1. Vertical installation of Rexroth hydraulic oil pump (shaft end up) 

Before installing the Rexroth hydraulic oil pump, fill it with oil and keep it in a horizontal position.  

1.1 Install the Rexroth hydraulic oil pump in the tank 

a. When the minimum hydraulic pressure of the oil tank is higher than or equal to the mounting flange surface, block the L of the Rexroth hydraulic oil pump, and open the L1 and the oil inlet S. It is recommended to pipe according to Figure 1.

b. If the lowest level of the oil tank is lower than the mounting flange surface of the Rexroth hydraulic oil pump, close the drain port L, the drain port L1 and the oil inlet S for piping as shown in Figure 2, and refer to Section 1.21.

1.2 Install the Rexroth hydraulic oil pump outside the tank 

Place the Rexroth oil pump in a horizontal position and fill it with oil before installation. If the Rexroth hydraulic oil pump is installed above the oil tank, see Figure 2.  

1.2.1 The minimum suction pressure of Rexroth hydraulic oil pump under static and dynamic conditions is Pabsmin=0.8bar 

1.2.2 When installing the Rexroth hydraulic oil pump in this way, the maximum suction port height h max = 500mm; it depends on the resistance loss of the suction pipeline. When the resistance loss is large, the oil suction height should be as small as possible, and the minimum immersion depth of the oil suction port is h tmin = 200mm.  

2. Install Rexroth hydraulic oil pump horizontally (shaft end is horizontal) 

When installing the Rexroth hydraulic oil pump horizontally, make sure that the drain port "L" or "L" is at the top.

2.1 Install the Rexroth hydraulic oil pump in the tank 

a. When the lowest liquid level of the oil tank is above the top of the Rexroth hydraulic oil pump, block the oil drain port L1. See Figure 3 for the piping of the oil drain port L and the oil inlet port S.

b. When the lowest page of the oil tank is lower than the top of the Rexroth hydraulic oil pump, block the oil drain port L1. See Figure 4 for the piping requirements of the oil drain port "L" and the oil inlet port "S", pay attention to tmin=200mm, m Rexroth hydraulic oil pump x=500mm.

2.2 Install the Rexroth hydraulic oil pump outside the tank 

Plug the lower drain port "L" or "L" and fill the pump housing with oil.

a. Install the Rexroth hydraulic oil pump on the oil tank. See Figure 4 for the piping of the oil drain port L and the oil inlet port S.

b. If the Rexroth hydraulic oil pump is installed under the oil tank, please refer to Figure 5 for the piping of the oil drain port L1 and the oil inlet port S.
